
2022 Negotiations Update!
To: Albertsons New Mexico Union Members

2022 Vote on New Contract
We are happy to announce we have reached new terms on your wages, benefits and working conditions for the upcoming three-year contract. We will be holding meetings across New Mexico locations for Union members to learn and vote on the details. I want to thank everyone who took the time to submit your survey response. The top three issues being wage increases, sick pay, and protecting health care were all reached.
This agreement is better or equal to Smith’s New Mexico and other Albertson’s agreements around the country including Colorado. Albertson’s/United has agreed to add a completely new benefit for paid Sick Pay hours starting July 1, 2022, and you will not need to use vacation or personal holidays for these days because of this new benefit. The new contract if accepted by the workers would be a three-year contract, expiring in June 2025.
We are thankful and happy that Albertson’s/United was in agreement to start wage increases on April 24, 2022 and put money in the hands of the workers. This is not something Albertson’s had to do, but they did. We have multiple times available for you to come learn and vote on this. Please make time to attend one.
